All-mountain skis - Women -
The Kenja 88 are all-mountain skis for experienced skiers looking for versatility from Völkl.
Designed with a Multilayer Woodcore made from a blend of poplar and beech, giving it strength, this ski has a double Tip & Tail Rocker giving it excellent manoeuvrability both on and off piste, as well as good lift in fresh snow. However, it is still sporty and suitable for experienced skiers.
The innovative 3D.Radius Sidecut technology makes it possible to make small turns with agility as well as large turns with stability. What's more, the Tailored Titanal Frame is made to measure to the length of the ski, giving better transmission of pressure and excellent liveliness. Another innovation is the Tailored Carbon Tip which adds precision and agility to the tip. The carbon fibres are strategically positioned in different thicknesses to provide better turning initiation, and also to allow you to have fun with the ski.
Last but not least, it's a ski that will delight skiers who like to spend all day on the slopes!

Weight per pair:
- 3402 g in the 163 cm size without bindings
Sidecuts:
- 129/88/113
Recommended bindings:
- Squire 11 ID
- Griffon 90
Core:
- MultiLayer Woodcore: The edge is laminated to extremely stable layers of wood on the sides of the ski's multi-ply core. This, combined with more flexible and lighter wood inserted in the centre of the core's multi-ply construction, offers a number of advantages: The hardwood section immediately adjacent to the edge provides high power transmission, improves edge grip and supports the sides against external impacts. The reduced weight of the softwood section in the centre of the ski ensures greater agility and better handling and reduces the overall weight of the ski. The combination of the two types of wood along the entire length of the ski contributes to an optimal distribution of the ski's rigidity, while increasing precision in turns. It's the first and only core/edge construction technology designed for intensive use on the pistes, as well as in competition capable of making the difference between victory and defeat, measured in hundredths of a second.
Rocker:
- Tip & Tail Rocker: Rocker only in the tip and tail, ski cambered at the bindings.
Base:
- P-Tex 2100: Made of sintered polyethylene for strength and ideal glide.
Technologies:
-3D Radius Sidecut: LONG RADIUS ON THE TIP AND TAIL: Use of the long radius in tip and tail for large turns at high speed Easy handling and manoeuvrability, resistant tip at high speeds.
- Tailored Titanal Frame: The new key technology is Tailored Titanal Frame. Unlike previous designs, the width of the Titanal frame is precisely adapted to each length of ski. This means that the Tailored Titanal Frames are custom designed and then integrated into the ski above the tip and tail sidewall, giving these areas the desired shock absorbing and torsional stiffness properties. The size of the frame is adjusted according to the size, ability and strength of the skier. This means that the longer models have a higher proportion of Titanal and therefore offer increased stiffness, even more direct transmission of support and enhanced shock absorption. The shorter the model, the lower the proportion of Titanal, which makes the ski more agile. Even lightweight skiers will be able to enjoy the full versatility of the ski with less effort. The result: Tailored Titanal Frame technology gives each ski unrivalled performance, combining liveliness and stability at high speeds.
-Tailored Carbon Tips: The new Tailored Carbon Tips are produced using an innovative manufacturing process that sews carbon fibres one by one onto a backing material. The fibres are then precisely positioned along the lines of force, thus opening up completely new possibilities, especially in the tip area. This has a significant influence on the ski's glide. Depending on the thickness of the fibres chosen and their millimetre-precise alignment, it will be possible to make targeted adjustments to the stiffness and torsion that define the ski's gliding properties. In this way, the fibres direct the dynamics to the areas of the ski where they are needed. The Tailored Carbon Tips skis are visibly integrated into the ski. They are lightweight and allow the tip to enter turns with more agility and less effort. In addition, they accumulate energy quickly. The custom-made carbon tips thus allow for an unprecedented level of precision, direct response from the tip and active gliding fun.
- Full Sidewall: Thanks to Full Sidewall, which runs the entire length of the ski, power transmission is strong and direct.
The Kenja 88 is a truly versatile ski. It's most at home on the slopes, but also performs well off-piste. The grip is excellent on-piste as well as very precise and responsive. It's very stable, so you can speed up without any vibrations.
Pros: Performance on piste, grip, stability.
Cons: Lacks lift in deep snow.
