The Instrument 2024 is a snowboard for men from K2 Snowboard.
It draws its inspiration from surfing to offer a new, fun approach to the world of all-mountain freeride. The Instrument from K2 is a model that will open up new horizons for you.
Its Volume Shift™ design allows you to reduce the size of your board from your usual size to improve its maneuverability. The buoyancy is always optimal with a real feeling of riding the snow like a wave when you are on powder snow slaloming between the trees. With the Directional Camber from K2 and a long camber underneath the supports, the Instrument can be ridden with great ease in powder. It remains at ease on all terrains to give you great pleasure and a good dose of fun on every run.
Designed with a solid and light S1 Core, the Instrument will provide you with the serenity needed for tackling untouched slopes. The unique combination of three woods provides a lot of dynamism and support. K2 K2 pushes the boundaries every time with Carbon Torque Forks™. This technology brings more response to this board while improving pop and stability during edge grip, thanks to the presence of carbon fibres.
A worthy heir to the Eighty-Seven, the Instrument has updated side cuts for better overall behaviour on its domain: floatability in powder, manoeuvrability and grip on hard snow. In short, a perfect board for the forest when it snows with excellent behaviour on the piste when the conditions are not there.

Flex: 7/10 - medium/rigid
Sidecut: 305/257/295 in the 154cm model
Turn radius: 7.70m for the 154cm size
Weight: 3070g for the 154cm model
Construction:
Camber - Directional : Classic camber between the feet and a slight rocker in the nose and tail. All the power of standard camber with improved float in powder. The addition of a rocker slightly sets the point of contact back for smoother turn transitions.
Shape - Directional: symmetrical shape very popular in freestyle for its manoeuvrability in all directions.
Core - S1 Core: A new core developed by K2, it is designed to have unparalleled strength and high level shock absorption. It is a mixture of three different woods; bamboo, aspen and paulownia. Bamboo and aspen are placed at 30° under the foot to boost edge-to-edge response and increase pressure distribution along the edge. Lightweight paulownia is placed in the middle of the board to reduce wobble and additional bamboo stringers run from nose to tail to improve grip, stability and dampening.
Topsheet - ICG™ 10 Biax Carbon Glass : Smooth all-purpose performance with a no-frills design. The fibres are woven together at 0° and 90°, creating a more forgiving bending pattern. In addition, the Biax Glass 10 carbon strips increase the pop, liveliness and longevity of the snowboard without adding unnecessary stiffness.
Base -Sintered 4000: The Sintered 4000 base absorbs wax deeply for relentless glide and unmatched durability.
2x4 Inserts They increase the number of options for positioning your bindings in an optimal way.
Technologies:
Carbon Torque Forks™: V-shaped carbon fibre stringers that extend just outside the inserts to the nose and tail contact points for added pop, responsiveness and stability in all conditions.
Volume Shift™ Shape: The volume of the board normally located on the tail and nose is moved below the feet. The result is a wider, shorter board for increased manoeuvrability and more aggressive riding. The stability and buoyancy of the latter remain unchanged.
Size guide: You should opt for a size that is 3 to 5cm shorter than your usual board size
