These boots are clearly designed for experienced to expert skiers who want to enjoy the thrill of freetouring: these boots are suitable for ascents - the boots are light - but above all for having fun on the descent, with real freetouring sensations. With a 98mm last, the Hawx Ultra XTD is a narrow boot, close to the foot for maximum precision.
The Hawx Ultra XTD 95 W Ct Gw uses the Free/Lock 2.0 system of the Backland boot, giving it a range of motion of 54° on the ascent, and an ultra-secure and fast locking on the descent. It features Igus polymer rings that ensure a frictionless ascent and a very natural movement.
In terms of descents, its 95 flex is rigid enough to allow good skiers to get good performance without sacrificing comfort. The Hawx Ultra XTD 95 W Ct Gw benefits from the Prolite construction, where the PU shell is refined at strategic points and which allows an impressive weight saving without losing foot support. The Energy Backbone improves lateral resistance and grip for more power and a special True Flex shell keeps the same features regardless of the conditions, no more stiff boots in cold weather or soft boots in hot weather!
The Hawx Ultra XTD 95 W Ct Gw is also very comfortable! Memory Fit technology provides effective customisation of the shell, cuff and liner in a matter of minutes.
