60 days to change your mindThe FR 14 is a ski touring binding from ATK. This is the latest version of the well-known Freeraider 14, with a lighter weight, stop-skis that tilt to the rear, new and very useful technologies, and an even more incredible quality of finish than before.
This binding was developed with the objective of achieving a balance between lightness and ultimate downhill performance, for which ATK used high-end materials and all its expertise. It is THE fixation that makes the link between classic touring and freeride.
The FR 14 weighs 360 g per binding (10% lighter than the previous version), which makes it extremely efficient when climbing so that it doesn't take all your energy before the descent. Very comfortable, it is also easy to handle and saves you time with each adjustment. With its 5 magnetic wedge heights, you won't run out of options.
But it is during the descent that this binding will excel. Thanks to its wide base, perfect for freerando skis, its spring-mounted Elastic Response System which provides elasticity and an unaltered ski radius, as well as its high DIN of 8-14, it is very resistant and lets you push hard even in difficult conditions. In addition to a higher DIN adjustment, this FR 14 differs from its little sister R12 by integrating a Freeride Spacer, a plate placed under the heel of your shoe and which offers an additional support point. The shoe is no longer only fixed on the fork as on conventional bindings. This makes it one of the safest touring bindings on the market. Sending it high and far will no longer be a problem since the energy transmission will be much higher.
The FR 14 offers a 25 mm heel adjustment range, and the Heel system developed by ATK provides additional stability to the heel and allows precise turn control, even in difficult snow conditions.
In short, this ATK FR 14 is a complete and very well made touring/freerando binding. It offers the ski performance of a freeride binding without the weight.

- Snow Pack Proof: A special front stop design that prevents snow or ice deposits from forming under the mechanism.
- Up-Hill Hardness Variator: system that allows to change the up-hill locking hardness of the toe part. It compensates the boot toe insert wear and tear during the years, provides a proper locking strenght for each user and reduces the pressures on the locking mechanism.
