The specific features of Nordic ski poles

Cross-country skiing requires specific equipment, especially poles. You will be able to choose from aluminium or carbon poles. We recommend choosing carbon poles, as they are both lighter and stronger.

Choosing the right poles is very important, especially for this skiing discipline. If the poles are too long or too short then you will have difficulty skiing properly.

Choosing the right poles for Nordic skiing

For classic poles, the top of the pole should be at the same height as the skier's shoulder. For greater precision, the pole should measure the skier's height minus 30cm. For skating, the pole should measure the skier's height minus 20cm.
