Float 12

The Float 12 is an airbag backpack from BCA. It has been specially designed for use in backcountry and freeride.

With a volume of 12 litres, the Float 12 is a technical backpack for freeride skiing. As well as being compact, the bag is relatively lightweight, so you'll forget you're wearing it when skiing off-piste. This bag has the perfect volume  to store all your gear for a day of skiing, and is also fitted with lightweight and extremely reliable technology!

The Float 12 notably has a separate safety compartment to store your shovel and probe. There is also a system for carrying skis diagonally, carrying a snowboard vertically, a removable net for carrying a helmet, as well as carrying straps for poles and an ice axe. As a little extra, there is a fleece pocket for your goggles to avoid the risk of scratching them.

The Float 12 features the new generation Airbag from BCA, the Float 2.0, known for its ease of use. With 150 litres, it keeps you on the surface but also protects your head and neck from trauma in the event of an avalanche. The cartridge and airbag are stored in the same separate compartment to save space in the main compartment.

In terms of comfort, the Float 12 is equipped with padded shoulder straps, an ergonomic belt and a back panel to ensure a perfect fit throughout your day.

Finally, this model is suitable for all hydration systems and is also compatible with the BC Link radio.
