The main difference between strapped and Step On® bindings is that it is the boot that dictates which binding/boot pack to get, and no longer the binding. The
The Step On® system enables you to put your bindings on whilst standing all you have to do is simply step into the connection points on the sides of the feet and behind the spoiler. No need to sit in the cold, wet snow to put on your bindings- and no one will complain about having to wait for you at the ski lifts!
The major advantage of this new system is the responsiveness of the boot-to-board power transfer. Thanks to the connection points, especially at the spoiler, the boots are literally stuck down from the spoiler to the baseplate, shifts from edge to edge have never been so fast.

La grosse surprise vient effectivement la réactivité et de l'enchaînement des appuis orteils et talon. Le changement de carre à carre est ultra-vif. Bon, on vous avoue que lorsque qu'il y a un peu de neige dans l'embase il faut bien chasser la neige des semelles et de la fix pour pouvoir fixer facilement.
Ce qui nous a le plus surpris est la prise de conscience du petit degrés de liberté de mouvement qu'offre les fixations à straps. On s'explique. Lorsque l'on souhaite tirer un ollie, les boots bougent un petit peu dans l'embase lors de ce mouvement de pop. Avec les boots
L'autre point positif vient de la solidité des appuis sur les réceptions associée à la réactivité qui permet de rapidement déjauger le nose et se diriger rapidement après une réception un peu trop sur l'avant. Nous n'avons pu éprouver le système sur de gros impacts mais la technologie semble bien assez développée pour supporter un style de ride un peu plus ferme.
