Description

The Dinghy 2024‌ is a men's snowboard from Nitro.

Clearly an ultra versatile board with a multitude of technologies developed by the famous brand Nitro. Indeed, this board is able to perform on all types of snow thanks to the Bi-Lite Laminates, a layer of fibreglass that limits torsion and improves stability. The Dinghy has a Poplar core lined with Beech stringers, their resistance to torsion and bending allows for a rather stiff flex for carving and aggressive turns.

Nitro is committed to the conservation of our eco-system through a number of actions taken in the making of their snowboards. The entire production chain of the Dinghy is carbon neutral as a result of investments in eco-responsible projects by working with ClimatePartner. In addition, 100% of the wood used comes from sustainably managed forests, even the wax is 100% biodegradable and made from renewable resources.

Here, the Dinghy is built to be fun and dynamic, but it is still very playful, especially when a good layer of powder is present. Designed with the Sintered Speed Formula HD Base, a compound that allows for abrasion resistance but above all a better absorption of wax as well as a progressive sidecut, this snowboard by Nitro facilitates acceleration.

With its unique style and all-round efficiency, the Dinghy is perfect for any rider who wants to venture out on any slope.

Turn radius/Sidecuts/Set back:

155cm: 7.6/ 6.3 m / 318-269-312 mm / -15
160 cm: 8.0/ 6.6 m / 314-267-308 mm / -15

Camber:

Trüe Camber (classic camber without rocker):
classic camber under the feet for grip, dynamism and support under the edge. A good camber guarantees stability and maximum pop. A camber and that's all!

Shape:

Directional: classic shape with the nose slightly longer than the tail to float on unpacked snow.
Progressive Sidecut: wider turn radius on the front of the board. Encourages increased acceleration at the end of a turn, while the nose reduces any bumps in the snow.
Width: Mid-Wide

Flex:

7/10: Very rigid, versatile flex for high-level responsiveness and all-mountain pop.

Construction:

- Core
PowerCore II : poplar wood core reinforced with two stringers (wooden strip) in beech from the nose to the tail of the board to increase rigidity and pop.
Reflex Core Profile : refined board profile between bindings for a better snow feel and a board that follows the terrain even better. The board works more easily.
- Topsheet

Bi-Lite Laminates ‌: fibreglass applied in two directions perpendicular to each other to provide tolerance, precise snow feel and strength.
- Base
Sintered Speed Formula HD base
: Abrasion resistant base with high wax absorption capacity for picking up speed quickly.

Team review
