The Dictator 2.0 is an all-mountain ski for men from Faction.
The Dictator range from Faction features highly-performant, nearly flat-tailed skis for all-mountain/freeride use depending on the version. It loves to hurtle down steep couloirs at full speed, cross trampled snow without missing a beat, or float in powder snow.
Thanks to the use of two Titanalplates, Dictator skis are ultra-stable at high speeds and will absorb the vibrations caused by complicated snow conditions. With a poplarwood core, the Dictators opt for a lightness / dynamism compromise that is out of the ordinary. When used on its own, poplar provides pop, which gives a good edge grip on the track.
The Dictator 2.0 is the most versatile ski of the range : with its 96 mm waist, it offers the perfect compromise between on- and off-piste. The Dictator 2.0 is both a carving machine and a high-performance ski when it comes to crossing choppy snow or starting off on a steep slope.
Resolutely freeride in the design, the Dictator 2.0 has a long rocker of 350 mm at the tip and a lighter rocker of 210 mm at the tail to get better snow clearance and more manoeuvrability on the piste to go from one edge to the other in the blink of an eye. The sandwich construction gives straight edges along the majority of the ski, which provides the best grip and a lively behaviour in all situations. In summary Dictator skis are real bulldozers, but they do their job with finesse and lightness!
A carving ski with a freeride shape, designed for experienced to expert skiers ready to really send it absolutely anywhere on the mountain!

Weight: 3600 g per pair in size 179 cm

Tip: 350 mm
Tail: 210 mm
- 4 mm regular camber
- Flex: 8/10
Shape:
Freeride Flat Tail:
This type of traditional flat tail is designed to offer maximum speed, edge control and control when turning. The light rocker adds a touch of modernity, and this shape will allow you to slash your turns even more easily and will avoid any snagging in fresh snow.
Construction:
Poplar lightweight core:
Poplar is a soft, light-coloured, lightweight and strong wood that has good flex and pop, as well as a high capacity to absorb vibrations. When used alone, this wood provides pop, makes it easy to make butters and offers great stability when landing, three attributes necessary for a park ski, but also the torsional stability to ensure good grip on the pistes.
Full Sidewall :
The full strength sidewall is a construction that applies layers of protective material along the edges of the sidewall, between the edge and the topsheet from above. The edges offer the best possible stability and grip when turning, while protecting the wooden core, edges and cover sheet from possible external impacts and damage.
- 3 Radius Sidecut :
The sidecuts with elliptic radii consist of a longer radius underfoot and shorter radius on the front and rear parts of the ski. The long radius underfoot allows for faster and easier pivoting, while the shorter radii allow curves to be started more gently. These sidecuts are perfectly suited to a wide range of curve angles and lengths.
Titanal Double Layer:
Titanal is one of the strongest materials in the industry. Its isotropic characteristics (it has the same mechanical properties in all directions) makes the ski ultra-comfortable on the edge, able to tear through moguls and remain stable even in variable snow: perfect for creating agressive freeride skis.
Surf Zones:
SurfZone technology is designed to combine the Rocker with the tapered shape of the tips to ensure that these two key characteristics are in perfect harmony. The Rocker provides lift and helps in the pivoting of the ski, while the Tapered Tip allows the widest part of the ski to be closer to the centre and thus reduce the risk of unwanted gripping by the edge. This technology provides excellent lift and a smooth ride in all conditions.
XL 2.5 mm Edges:
One might think that seven tenths of a millimetre doesn't have much of an effect, but when it comes to edges, everything matters. The 2.5 mm edges are 35% thicker than our standard 1.8 mm edges, which are already very sturdy. This addition of steel makes the ski more resistant to imact.
Tip and tail cap:
On our skis equipped with the tip and tail cap construction, we place ultra-solid sidewalls at the central part of the ski but wrap the topsheet around the edge of the ski to the tip and tail edges. This protects the ski from impacts and thus improves its durability, while reducing the total weight of the ski. Perfect for freestyle and ski touring.
The Dictator 2.0 is the flagship of the range in terms of versatility. With its 96 mm waist and its long rocker, the Dictator 2.0 navigates between carving skis ( and it does make very big turns if you pick up speed) and freeride skis. With the two titanium plates, you feel very little vibrqtion even in difficult snow conditions.
It may not be the most comfortable when the snow is fresh and deep but it has the advantage of offering qualities on all ground so that you can ski the whole mountain.
Advantages : stability, versatility, amazing carving for a ski that is relatively wide
Disadvantages : not very playful, but a flat- heeled ski with two titanial plates is made to perform
