Shape:
- True Twin: A twin snowboard has a symmetrical shape, with an identical nose and tail, which allows riders to perform manoeuvres and tricks with ease, whether in a normal position or in a switch position. This symmetrical design guarantees equal performance characteristics in all directions, making it easier to enjoy a versatile riding experience. Ideal for freestyle riders and terrain park enthusiasts, twin snowboards improve manoeuvrability, allow smooth transitions between tricks and promote a feeling of balance. The symmetrical shape promotes a consistent, predictable ride, perfect for those who like to ride in different directions and perform tricks with a uniform approach.
- Camrock 3-4-3: Hybrid rocker/camber profile with symmetrical tip and tail. The rocker is in the nose, with a slight camber between the feet. Camber sits between your feet like a spring, keeping your contact points with the ground as you enter and exit turns, allowing you to stay on edge longer. When compressed, the camber accentuates the rocker and lifts the nose, giving it more float. This creates a very versatile board profile that works in all conditions.
Construction:
- Extruded: YES Snowboards 's extruded bases are durable, low-maintenance and cost-effective, making them ideal for beginners and casual riders. Created by melting polyethylene granules and moulding them, these bases have a lower porosity, requiring less waxing and simplifying adjustments.
- Full Poplar : The basic core for building snowboards from tip to tail. It offers a predictable balance between durability, regular flex and lightness.
- Biax: Biaxial or "Biax" glass fibre is made up of fibres oriented in two directions, generally along the length and width of the board. This construction balances flex, making the board more forgiving and easier to control, and improves torsional flexibility for smoother turns and manoeuvres, which is particularly beneficial for riders who prefer a playful, versatile riding experience rather than aggressive performance.
Technologies:
| Y3D Jib |
The Y3D Jib/Street is the most comfortable 3D in the collection. Easy to navigate on short, sketchy tracks, it's the most forgiving 3D to help you progress your game on rails. - Wide central base for stability on rails and obstacles. - Medium-lift lateral bases for control on difficult run ins and landings. - The lateral base starts to rise early for a pleasant, loose feel underfoot, tolerance and absence of snagging on the edges. |
| Sidekick |
The Sidekick technology raises the edges at the widest points of the board's nose and tail, minimising the risk of catching an edge. This design improves tolerance during descents, guaranteeing a smoother experience. Particularly useful in powder snow, the Sidekick optimises flotation by pushing snow outwards. It also helps avoid unexpected edges when descending on flat ground. Enjoy a more confident and controlled snowboarding experience thanks to Sidekicktechnology. |
