The Backland Wmn 85 is a women's touring ski from Atomic.
The Backland 85 with its well thought-out shape and high quality materials is designed for the demanding freeskier who does not neglect feeling and style. Equipped with a 85mm waist, it is a balanced and versatile touring ski to go with you on all your trips.
Light enough on the ascents, it offers good lift on the descent thanks to the revolutionary HRZN technology integrated into the tip that increases the ski surface at the front for better lift and a confident and fast progression in deep snow. Its Powder rocker designed especially for powder snow incorporates a stronger rocker on the spatula and a lighter one on the heel, to take more and more pleasure in the powder snow!
The Backland 85 is designed with an Ultra Light Woodcore, made from poplar and carob, which provides optimum lightness and stability for fast downhill runs.
There is also an ultra-light Carbon Backbone structure that crosses the entire ski and acts as a backbone. This stabilises it, for exceptional agility and very good edge grip, all without any additional weight to allow for easier uphill movement.
In addition, the Dual Cap Sidewall structure avoids the formation of dents and splinters for optimum durability.
The Backland 85 achieves the feat of combining the powder performance of a freeride ski with the lightness of a touring ski. Designed for both on and off-piste, this robust and grippy ski is ideal to accompany you on your way up and down!
