The Backland 95s are men's touring skis from Atomic. True freerando skis with their 95mm waist, the Backland 95s are fairly lightweight for climbing and will allow you to really enjoy the downhill.
The success of the Backland range is founded on its ability to adapt to both aspects of ski touring. The Ultra Light Woodcore makes them extremely lightweight for climbing and incredibly stable on the downhill. They also perform equally well on packed snow and powder.
This model is the perfect mix of a freeride and a touring ski; perfect for tackling powder, choppy and even packed snow. They feature the spoon-shaped Horizon Tech tip, which ensures excellent handling in powder and makes them even lighter and easier to ski off-piste, even on crusty snow.
Their Cap Sidewall construction ensures an ideal transmission of power and excellent grip on all types of terrain. They also feature a carbon insert that reinforces the structure of the ski without weighing it down. Pre-cut climbing skins especially designed for these skis are available.
The Backland 95s are the perfect skis for ski touring fans looking for a lightweight and wide ski that will adapt to all conditions.

177cm: 18m
185cm: 19m
Construction:
- Ultra Light Woodcore: This core combines the strength of beech and the lightness of poplar to provide our racing skis phenomenal stability and agility.
- Cap Sidewall: these sidewalls ensure an ideal transmission of power and excellent grip.
Shape:
- All Mountain Rocker: 15% tip rocker/85% traditional camber: A tip rocker that smoothes out bumps and offers easier entry into turns.
Technology:
- HZRN Tech: ABS construction combined with a groundbreaking rocker design increases the surface of the tip and tail by 10%. It reduces the deflection of the tip for better control in ploughed and choppy snow without changing the rotational inertia.
- Carbon Backbone: ultra-lightweight carbon insert that runs the entire length of the ski and has a stabilizing effect. This ensures better agility and exceptional grip without making the ski heavier.
