The Backland 85 UL benefits from the same structure as the Backland 65 UL, which has proven itself in the World Cup. With its 85 mm waist, it is the most wide ski offered by the Backland UL range. This makes it a more stable and efficient ski for downhill, with good lift, ideal for light mountain touring.
Easy to use, the Backland 85 UL is equipped with HRZN tips that allow you to ski on powder and wet snow very easily. Its all-mountain rocker 15/85/0 is versatile and suitable for all terrains and all types of snow, whether you want to ski on piste or off-piste.
The Backland 85 UL also features a 100% wood Ultra Light Woodcore core constructed of poplar and carob tree which makes it one of the lightest mountain skis on the market. Its carbon inserts above and below the core allow the weight of the ski to be reduced as much as possible, while maintaining very good stability and solidity.
As a little extra, the Backland 85 UL is equipped with notches on the tip to mount skins very quickly in competition.
