| Fair Trade Certified™ Manufacturing | For Patagonia, Fair Trade Certified™ is the first step towards fairer wages for people in their supply chain. Since they do not own any of the factories that manufacture their products, they have limited control over the amounts their workers receive. But thanks to the Fair Trade program, they can supplement workers' wages with benefits that improve their quality of life. |
| DWR |
The durable water-repellent (DWR) finish repels light rain and snow and speeds up fabric drying time. In addition to providing a waterproof/breathable membrane, the durable water repellent (DWR) finish prevents the fabric from becoming saturated, so that the breathable membrane can function properly. |
| THERMOLITE® |
THERMOLITE® is a material with properties that guarantee warmth and lightness. Its nature-inspired synthetic fibres take particular inspiration from polar bear fur. Polar bears are covered in hollow fur, which enables heat to be conserved, while also wicking moisture away from the body to the surface of the hair, where it quickly evaporates. Thermolite® is also made of hollow fibers. So your body can stay dry and store body heat, whatever the weather, just like a polar bear. THERMOLITE® dries up to 20 times faster than any other artificial insulation material and up to 50% faster than cotton fabrics. |
