Advice : Use the foot sizer from SIDAS to help you find the right size
The Ascendant Approach Michelin/Grip Walk is a freerando ski boot developed by Full Tilt.
New this season, the Ascendant Approach is a shoe that performs equally well on the ascent and descent, taking you to the slopes of your favourite resorts as well as to the most remote summits! With its rigid flex of 120, it is a high-performance model, designed for skiers who want to push their limits!
Thanks to its wide shoe width of 102 mm and generous volume, the Ascendant Approach offers a comfortable fit, ideal for those with wider feet or those looking for less foot compression to make long days of freerando more enjoyable. Its shell and tongue are made entirely of Grilamid, a material that makes the shoe lighter and easier to climb!
Highly efficient on the ascent, the Ascendant Approach is equipped withlow tech inserts as well as a ski/walk mode which can be activated in seconds thanks to the lever on the back of the boot. Walking comfort is ensured with a 45° ankle freedom and great freedom of movement. In addition, the Michelin / GripWalk sole provides incredible grip on unstable and slippery terrain. This sole is equipped with Shock Absorber technology, a rubber layer that absorbs vibration and impact energy to ensure a smooth glide.
The Full Tilt boots have the special feature of being designed with three pieces, which allows them to retain their rigidity even when you bend your leg forward. Unlike classic boots with a wallet construction, they do not slip forward or sideways for optimal control!
On the fit side, the Pro Tour Tongue has been specially designed to stay comfortable and avoid blistering during the climbs. This thermoformable liner adapts perfectly to the shape of your foot for a personalised fit and even more comfort. In addition, a removable foam reinforcement has been placed on each side of the ankle to prevent pain. The foot thus remains perfectly in place to ensure exceptional precision and dynamism!
The Ascendant Approach is the perfect shoe for riders looking for a high performance freerando shoe, to explore the whole mountain!

Technology:
Pro Tour Tongue liner:
This thermoformable liner wraps perfectly around the foot and lower leg. It has been specially designed to reduce pain and blisters in walking mode. Constructed from three foams of different densities and thicknesses, it provides maximum warmth, responsiveness and comfort.
J-Bar:
This J-shaped foam reinforcement on each side of the ankle prevents pain, keeps the ankle securely in place and allows better control of the ski.
Evolution Tour shell:
With a last of 102 mm, this freerando construction allows a large range of movement to walk further and in comfort. The three-piece construction guarantees better foot support and increases traction, while preventing the shoe from shifting forward or sideways.
Walk Mode :
A lever on the back of the boot makes it easy to switch from walking mode to ski mode. In walk mode, the shoe offers an incredible 74° range of motion at the cuff. In ski mode, the boot stays firmly in place and offers the fluid and progressive flex characteristic of the brand.
Tech Fittings:
Low tech inserts fit all touring ski bindings to make the boot versatile and suitable for all domains.
Shock Absorber Boot Board:
A soft rubber layer inserted into the sole absorbs vibration and energy from impacts and shocks for a smoother glide and more pleasant landings.
Mid Grip / Dual Material Outsoles:
This midsole is placed under the foot, between the soles of the heel and forefoot, to improve grip. Made from two more or less flexible materials, it gives you all the comfort and balance you need for your ascents and off-piste adventures.
