Description

Jones is a snowboard brand with a strong freeride orientation but in recent years they have been releasing more and more boards specialising in other disciplines. This is the Airheart 2.0, amodel for women with a confirmed level who are more orientated towards All-mountain/Freestyle

This year, Jones has completely redesigned its Airheart model, with a completely new look. As far as features are concerned, it essentially has the same technologies as last year. The Airheart 2.0 features the 3D Contour Base 2.0 technology coupled with the new Traction Tech 2.0 for supersonic, rail-like speed and instant edge hold that will grip the snow like no other board on the market and propel you through the turns.

This year it has a Triax Fiberglass layer placed under an Eco-Plastic layer which gives it a huge torsional return of force as well as an impressive pop. The board still has a very good flex of 7/10, which makes it enjoyable and gives you a great feel when the board is in the air.

The Aviator is stable in the air and decisive. The Airheart 2.0 will excel in the snowpark as well as in the backcountry. Its slightly directional twin shape paired with a Power camber gives it real freestyle capabilities while its Spoon 2.0 and its Blunt Nose give it better lift in powder. The Airheart 2.0 allows you to bring your best tricks on the biggest backcountry kicks and finish your freeride lines with elegance with some nice turns!

The Air Heart 2.0 perfectly embodies what an all-mountain board should be by offering high level performance in every type of riding such as freestyle and freeride.

Please note: In an effort to reduce waste, Jones bases are made in two different colours, that are delivered randomly.

Camber:

True camber : Classic camber with long edges and two short symmetrical rockers. It features a very short, flat zone between the rocker and camber. Its edge is very long, with limited contact due to its slightly bevelled shape.

Shape :

Twin directional : The nose is longer and wider than the tail and the inserts have been set back on the back of the board. These features offer more manoeuvrability in powder and hard snow.

Blunt Nose: The blunt nose provides the lift benefits of a longer nose without the rounded shape and extra weight.

Traction Tech 3.0 : The bumps on the edges offer multiple contact points along the board which improves grip. This technology offsets the reduced length of the edge/snow contact points due to rocker.

3D Contour Base 2.0 : Convex shape of the sole. The edges are raised by 4mm in comparison to the centre of the board.

Progressive Sidecut: The radius at the ends of the sidecut is slightly increased as the edge reaches the contact points. This larger radius ensures a smoother ride when entering and exiting turns.

Technologies :

- Forever Flex: A manufacturing process that durably stabilizes the flex and rocker profile of the board.

- Power-Core: Triple density wood core: ash and paulownia wood with bamboo stringers for increased pop and a longer lifespan.

- Koroyd®: Lightweight synthetic core material that absorbs vibration and adds responsiveness, improving board control and confidence.

- Triax Fiberglass: Fiberglass laminate applied in multiple directions, which provides a precise and responsive ride on all terrains and in all snow conditions.

- Sustainable Flax/Basalt Stringers: 100% natural basalt stringers. Each support becomes more powerful and the torsional stiffness of the board is improved.

- Eco-Plastic Topsheet: Topsheet made from castor beans. This environmentally friendly material is ultra-light, chip and scratch resistant and repels water and snow (snow sticks less to the topsheet).

- Sintered 8000 base : Sole made of UHMW-PE (Ultra-High Molecular Weight Polyethylene) and carbon. Extremely easy to repair, it also offers maximum glide properties.

- Recycled ABS: - The ABS plastics in Jones boards are made from recycled plastic.

- Wend Natural Wax : Waxed with natural Wend wax, Jones boards are ready to use straight from the factory.

- Bio Resin : All Jones boards are now built with bio-based, renewable epoxy instead of petroleum based epoxy.

De très bonnes sensations avec l'Airheart 2.0 aux pieds ! Permettant de grosses accélérations, l'Airheart 2.0 nous fait rapidement prendre de la vitesse pour ainsi arriver à la vitesse optimale sur le prochain kick. Son pop est excellent et on sent que la board emmagasine énormément d'énergie dés que l'on force un peu dessus. Les carres dentelées sont très utiles et l'accroche qu'elles offrent est impressionnante. Pour ce qui est des passages en neige plus fraiche, l'Airheart 2.0 est aussi au rendez-vous, les rebords convexes amènent un ride vraiment fluide. Très bon choix pour les rideuses qui aiment pimenter leur ride avec quelques tricks bien placés sur des kickes shapés ou naturels.
