The Afterblack is the range's freestyle board with a reliable standard camber that brings power and precision to create a board that will delight demanding freestylers. The pop of the Afterblack is amplified by the Carbon Dark Web reinforcements which will make you take off as if you had a spring under each boot.
Like any good snowboard that calls itself a freestyle board, the Afterblack is a real symmetrical Twin with a perfectly centered stance. The two tips with rockers give a little tolerance and also allow you to perform presses and thus build up your line-up of tricks!
Despite its very freestyle personality, the K2 Afterblack is also at ease on the piste so you can carve it up and have fun at the side of the piste. The K2 Afterblack will thrill freestyle riders who like leaving the park and having fun in the rest of the resort.
Camber:
K2 Twin Combination Camber Baseline (camber+rockers) : Perfectly symmetrical basic standard camber offering a lot of power at the start and end of turns. The camber that most pro riders prefer. The 2 rockers give you a more forgiving landing.
Core:
BAP core: Three species of renewable timber are blended to assemble a core with optimal durability, less weight, and enhances cushioning without the addition of other materials.
Carbon Dark Web: carbon reinforcements placed in an X at each end of the insert areas. Aids in energy transfer and stability, speeding up edge-to-edge transitions.
Shape - True Twin: a symmetrical shape is very popular in freestyle for its manoeuvrability in all directions
Flex - 6/10 - Medium flex. Lively flex for a park pop and playfulness.
Topsheet - Triax Glass: The addition of fibreglass in diagonal layers to the biaxial glass offers a board that has more stiffness and torsional responsiveness.
Base - 4000 Sintered: K2 Snowboard's fastest base. Increased durability and wax absorption.
Inserts - 2*4 compatible with 2*4 mini-disk and 4*4 disk bindings
L'Afterblack est une planche au gros potentiel. Son pop dosé est agréable en réception et permet de facilement d'utiliser la torsion de la planche pour une jouabilité au top. Ne vous fiez pas aux apparences, car un flex souple ne veut pas dire une planche souple sans personnalité. Le Carbon Dark Web donne vraiment pas mal de ressort. Attention, l'Afterblack demande de la propreté sur les exécutions et en réception avec son cambre standard.
L'Afterblack permet de sortir facilement du park sans forcément être limité par ses caractéristiques freestyle. Les ollies faciles permettent de sauter sur tout ce qui se présente!
