A pair of unisex trainers GEN 1 Grapes Textile Black from the French brand MoEa are made from Seaqual® and a renewable and recyclable biomaterial: GrapesSkin.

Derived from the Italian wine industry, plant and grape resin is mixed with recycled plastics to create a leather-like material. This biomaterial represents a real breakthrough sustainable alternative to animal leather, emitting on average 89% less carbon.

With clean, animal-free materials hand-assembled in Portugal, MoEa is a labelled brand PETA Approved that is socially and environmentally committed.

More than just ethically and responsibly produced, the brand's products are both stylish and comfortable. Put them on, love them, wear them out, recycle them! This is what the product life cycle should be!

SEAQUAL®	Seaqual® is a high-quality recycled polyester made from 10% ocean waste (fishing nets, plastic bottles, etc.) and 90% post-consumer PET from land-based sources. Its physical properties are almost identical to those of polyester.
OEKO-TEX®	Oeko-Tex® is a testing, auditing and certification system for environmentally friendly operations throughout the textile production chain. It includes all operationally relevant areas (management, production technologies, resource uses, quality assurance, safety precautions, social conditions etc.) in its sustainability review. To be certified as compliant with the Oeko-Tex®standard, companies must meet defined criteria relating to their environmentally-friendly production processes, which are also socially acceptable at all stages of production.
GLOBAL ORGANIC TEXTILE STANDARD	Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) has been developed by the leading standards bodies to define globally recognised requirements for organic textiles. From the harvesting of raw materials, to environmentally and socially responsible manufacturing and labelling, GOTS certified textiles offer credible assurance to consumers.
